Siskoid's Blog of Geekery: Who's Air Wave?

Please note that earlier in this thread, it seems that the creator of Air Wave was incorrectly cited as George Roussos. In fact, as documented in many journals and online publications, the creator of Air Wave was Harris Levey (aka "Lee Harris"), who illustrated the series with Mort Weisinger which launched the #1 episode of Air Wave in DC's issue #60 (circa Dec. 1941). After DC's #74, Harris Levey (aka Lee Harris) took a hiatus from illustrating Air Wave, when he served in Wll as an aerial photographer in their 15th  Tactical Reconnaissance Unit. During his absence from DC, Harris' good friend and DC colleague, George Roussos took over the Air Wave illustrations --right up until when the war ended, and Harris returned to DC (July 1946) when he resumed illustrating his Air Wave creation --starting with #113 and continuing for the next two years, until his departure, when he moved into the field of advertising. For those interested in the Bio of Harris Levey (aka Lee Harris), more info his given in his Wikipedia article and in Alter Ego's Vol. 125 (June 2014 edition), where Harris is featured on the cover of the AE Magazine:
